"Treeless Mountain" is a quiet film from South Korea. It is told through the eyes of two young sisters, Jin and Bin, who are abandoned by their mother - left with a relative they have never met before. The camera always seems zoomed in close and at a low height, giving the viewer a "child's eye view" of the world. The pacing is slow but effective, and the you two young leads are stunning in their ability to express raw emotion and complete lack of artifice on camera.
