Hello and welcome to another episode of
Highbrow! Lowbrow? Every two weeks or so, Jesse and I get together to discuss the
Best Picture Academy Award Winner and
top box office earner of the same year to see who was right: the critics or the masses. On this episode, we review two films from the year
1934: the Frank Capra romantic comedy,
It Happened One Night (Highbrow), and the Ernst Lubitsch romantic comedy,
The Merry Widow (Lowbrow). Check out the episode to see which film we ended up liking more!
